بررسی فاز دوم جمع آوری، شناسایی، ارزیابی و حفاظت بذور گیاهان مرتعی به منظور تقویت بانک ژن

Golestan province with the extent 22022 km2 has allocated 1.3 percent of the total area of iran. This province is limited to the Torkmanistan republic, from the north, to the northern Khorasan province, from the east to the Semnan province from the south and to the Mazandaran province and Khazar sea from the west . This province is rich in flora and genetic variety, because of the superior geographic position and locating at the alborz mountain slopes and Caspian Sea coastes, much difference elevation and climatic diversity , so that based on accomplished on project of collection and identification of the flora of Golestan pronince. This province has more than 118 plant families (70% of Iranian plant families), 678 genus (56.5%) and more than 1704 species (24.3%). The aim of carrying out this project is collecting the range plants seeds of Golestan Province in order to reinforcement and complementation of the Gene bank for carrying out this project. First, the range of this area which have more than 1000000 hectars extent, were divided to 4 working regions and there were accomplished the collection of species seeds which were attained to the complete maturity in various seasons every year. The seed samples were cleaned and dried after collecting and recording the complete information and after the completion the identification and other necessary action for each sample, there were sent the seeds to the gene Bank of institute of forest and rangelands on the whole, the number of 324 samples of range species seeds have been collected from the ranges of Golestan Province that these numbers are related to the 25 families,80 genus, 119 species which have been sent to the genebank of forest and rangelands research institute in order to keep, maintain and other evaluations.In the first and second stage there were collected number 147 species belonge to 84 genus and 28 family excess to priority species . Results obtained from planting and investigation various ecological region showed that most of the planted species had good growth and fresh and in addition to complet the life cycle , they had acceptable good production . Thus , these stations can be used for restoring the seed gene bank . Above stations are distributed various ecological places in Golestan province .
