Project of collection, identification, evaluation and conservation of seed medicinal plants in Isfahan province were done from 2004 for 5 years. The aims of this project were conservation and storage of medicinal plants germplasm species out of natural habitat (Natural Resources Gene Bank). According on Isfahan medicinal species distribution we divided Isfahan province into 29 geographical regions as "collection sites" for collection seed programs. Collection sites information such as site address, land form, geographical longitude and latitude, percentage and direction of slop, altitude, soil properties, climatical regions of species plants distribution and companion species, regeneration cycle, usable plant organs, were wrote in identity seed forms. Seed samples were collected from altitude regions of 900-3600 meters from level sea, in different geographical directions. Some of seed samples of most important medicinal plants genus of Isfahan province were include: Allium, Bunium, Dorema, Ferula, Fritillari, Hypericum, Kellusia, Nepeta, Plantago, Rheum, Salvia, Stachys, Tanacetum, Teucrium, Thymus, Trigonella, Verbascum, Zataria and Ziziphora. Over than 200 seed accessions were collected, cleaned, and sent to Natural Resources Gene Bank. The most of seed samples were from Hypericum scabrum, Kellusia odorotosima, and ferula ovina with 7, 6 and 5 accessions respectively. Also the families of Lamiaceae, Apiaceae and Asteracaea with 63, 31 and 15 accessions respectively, were most numbers of seed samples that were collected. The 184, 36 and 23 collected seed samples were wild and cultivated, respectively also 23 and 197 collected seed samples were annual and perennial plants, respectively. Range of distribution collected seed accessions were such as 78 and 141 seed samples from altitude 800-1700 and 1784-3650 meters from level sea, respectively. The 163 and 57 seed accessions were collected from west regions and east regions of Isfahan province, respectively. Starting growth, ending growth, flowering duration, and seed maturity of medicinal plants species often were early of March, late of May, May to July and June to July, respectively.
