چکیده مقاله:

The first geographic information system was developed in the middle of 1960s in the united states. Air photographs, agricultural data forestry, soil and geology information and related plans and maps were used in these system.When computer and other required technologies were developed to work on local data, Geographic information systems (GIS) were founded to improve the analysis of large Volumes of Geographic data in 1970s.GIS was used to program maps and plans with simple Codes which were saved in computers, so it was easier and Flexible to modify the features of this maps.Today, SCADA, EMS, DMS, and GIS systems are applied in electricity distribution computers. GIS and SCADA play important roles in this industry. Undoubtedly, application and development of Various systems, eliminating traditional methods and approaches and improvement of distribution network levels will help the nations to gain their aims and purposes in oil industry and become the pioneers of this field.Integration of these two systems, GIS and SCADA, make it possible to exchange the Information between different databases of various systems in electricity distribution companies. Although these systems are available in different industries in Iran, their informational integration has not been considered yet.GIS is a computer system which is able to assemble, save, modify and display Geographic information. These geographic inputs are identified based on their locations. GIS is a computer device used for drawing maps and analyzing the objects on the earth. It is applied to study the events happened of the earth. GIS requires an organized group of expert individuals, equipment and facilities to work on its different aspect and maintain it.
