چکیده
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine effect of narrative therapy on anxiety and tolerance of people with generalized anxiety disorder in Tehran in 2019.Methods: The method is quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design and control group and 2-month follow-up period. The samples were selected by simple sampling method (30 patients) and randomly divided into two groups: experimental group (narrative group 15 patients) and a control group (15 patients). Data were collected using three questionnaires of Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire of Spitzer et al, Anxiety Questionnaire of Beck et al and Tolerance Questionnaire of Conner & Davidson and analyzed by one-way analysis of variance and SPSS.Results: The results from variance analysis demonstrated that narrative therapy has a meaningful effect on anxiety and tolerance of people with generalized anxiety disorder.Conclusion: in order to increase the level of tolerance and reduce the level of anxiety in people with generalized anxiety disorder should be paid more attention to narrative therapy education.کلیدواژه ها
