خلاصه مقاله:
In the present study, effects of PVA /Pebax-1657 Composite membrane on CO2 and CH4 permeability values and ideal CO2/CH4 selectivity through the synthesized membrane were investigated. PVA/Pebax-1657 Composite membrane was prepared via solvent evaporation technique. The prepared membrane wascharacterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to study surface/cross-sectional morphology, X-ray diffraction (XRD) to study crystalline structure and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) to identify variations of the chemical bonds. Permeation of pure and mixed gases for CO2 and CH4 was studied through the prepared composite membrane at pressure of 2-8 bar and temperature of 25 °C. The obtained results showed that the fabricated composite membrane exhibit excellent separation performance for pure and mixed gases. An increase in pressure remarkably increase the permeability of both gases and CO2/CH4 selectivity.
