چکیده مقاله:

As one of the historical Bazaar elements in Iran is an inner-city Caravansary which has been in charge ofdelivering goods in the past. Now in addition to selling a variety of goods, it is a place for visitors and tourists to getacquainted with Iranian history and traditional art. Since spatial relations between individuals are strongly influenced byother activities and behavioral domains, we should not neglect the environmental affordance as a context for behaviors. In addition to the physical factors affecting people s behavior in space, the incidence of abnormal behaviors should alsobe reduced. Identifying behavioral settings can lead to having a better spatial experience. Saray-e-moshir or Golshan inShiraz is one of the inner-city Caravansaries from the Qajar era that located in adjacent to Shiraz Vakil Bazaar and iscurrently a context of various types of individual and social behaviors. This research aims to investigate visitors behaviors as an important factor in improving the performance of the open space to modify its original reuse strategies. The present research method was a combination of qualitative and case study strategies. Data were collected by the fieldsurvey method. The behavioral mapping technique was used to record the behaviors in the courtyard, so every 45minutes between 9:15 am and 6 pm the behaviors were marked on a map. Then, behavioral domains were examined andanalyzed to achieve environmental quality, suitability or inconsistency with them. The results indicated that in additionto the climatic conditions and the location of the sun during a day, store attractiveness and picturesque axial and viewsaffect the location of behaviors, respectively categorized as standing and shopping, sitting and talking, drinking waterand taking pictures. Therefore, to diversify behaviors, unnecessary interventions and disadvantages of appropriate placeexperience by individuals should be eliminated and more attention should be given to the edges as suitable places fordiverse behaviors. Strategies for organizing consumer behavior patterns include modifying shop uniforms, addinginformation boards about Saray-e-moshir s history, refining and enhancing night lighting, increasing the attractivenessof the stores showcases, adding a lift to the second floor and increasing its visibility and use of suitable canopies.
