چکیده مقاله:

According to the fact that sandwich plates are being used more extensively as structural components in aerospace and other strategic industries, the effect of parameters such as constitutive properties, core thickness, density on the dynamic behavior (stress wave and natural frequency) of such structures has been studied in this paper. The results show that with increasing the core thickness, the velocity of longitudinal and shear phase and consequently the applied stress due to wave propagation inside the structure, will decrease correspondingly. While with increasing the core young modulus or changing core material, they will increase very much. The close relation between the failure modes of the core and faces and natural frequency of sandwich plates due to changing mentioned parameters is also presented. Furthermore free vibration of such structures as important part of dynamic analysis according to first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is considered and all the results are validated by comparing them with ANSYS models
