چکیده مقاله:
Color of ornamental fish is one of the most important factors for consumeracceptance. Since, the synthetic pigment has destructive effect on environment;hence, an experiment was performed by using red capsicums as a natural pigmentand added in the commercial diet of sword tail at 0, 2, 4 and 6% level. Thisexperiment was conducted in aquarium tank of 50 liter capacity in triplicate groupfor 60 days duration. After 50 days of experiment, the group of fish whom fed withred capsicums changed coloration and had significant differences with controltreatment (0) (P> 0.05). With increasing red capsicums to 4 and 6% level in the diet, the color of fish was bright red and significant with other diet (P> 0.05). Although, the diet containing 2% red capsicums in diet of fish, was pale red coloration, but hadbetter performance than control basal diet 59T(P> 0.05). Though, there were nosignificant differences between treatment 3 and 4 (4 and 6% red capsicums). The dietcontain 6% red pepper, it seems brighter red color.
