چکیده مقاله:

Micro piles are small-diameter piles with similar functions to piles which are nowadays used for ground improvement and deep foundations. Nowadays due to increased construction, presence of problematic soils and lack of enough space for constructing piles, micro piles have become an appropriate alternative solution. In this research, the soil-structure interaction is studied with a single degree of freedom structure on a ground improved with micro piles by several series of shaking table tests including free field tests, series of tests without micro piles and finally a series of tests including the micro piles. Physical modeling rules are used to simulate the structure and micro piles properties. The input load is a harmonic and sinusoidal wave and different frequencies and domains are used. Results show that consideration of soilstructure interaction increases the natural period and decreases the natural frequency of the system. Also, the presence of micro piles affects the acceleration-time, displacement-time responses of the structure as well as the structure s drift ratio
