چکیده

Stability analysis of slopes is an important topic of research in geotechnical engineering. Slope stability analysis is often carried out under static loading conditions. However, in seismically active regions, earthquakes induced forces are one of the important forces that can cause the failure of the slopes. In this way, using a proper method for analysis can lead to more accurate and practical results. On the other hand, determination of soil parameters always includes some portion of uncertainty. This article attempts Pseudo-static analysis by random finite element has been performed to assess the dynamic behavior of slopes subjected to horizontal earthquake loading and position of slip surfaces of slopes. In the pseudo-static analysis, the peak ground acceleration is converted into a pseudo-static force and applied as a horizontal incremental gravity load. For this purpose, in a real site, the uncertainty influence of related parameters of the Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model that has used in this research are assessed through the random finite element method by a MATLAB coded program. To demonstrate the accuracy of the program, the determining factor of safety and displacement of the slope are verified with finite element software. As results, the failure wedge in pseudo-static condition is larger than the static condition and the position of slip surface in a pseudo-static condition has a greater distance relative to static condition from the slope line.
