چکیده مقاله:

OCT is a noninvasive, rapid and accurate, method applied in biomedical optics and Medicine. This method can generate 3D images of the object internal structure such as theretina layers with very high axial resolution (3 - 12 μm).OCT has been used most extensively for the diagnosis of diseases and disorders affecting the retina and optic nerve head and optic nerve bundle. It has also been used successfully in the study of early stage papilledema because of its features on high resolution,non-contact, and easy anatomical interpretation. Also, 3D-OCT is a non-invasive ICP monitoring rout to evaluate therapeutic responses in rised ICP cases without lumbar punctuer or intraventricular devices. We will present 3 patients with visual loss whose clinical and paraclinical findings suggest optic neuritis,pseudo-Foster Lennedy syndrome ,optic atrophy but their diagnoses have been changed by 3D optic nerve examinations and their 2 years follow up by 3D-OCT after causative treatment .Early diagnosis and early treatment in IIH can prevent subsequent untreatable complications.
