چکیده مقاله:

Hazard and operability (HAZOP) method is a Process Hazard Analysis(PHA) technique used worldwide for studying the hazards and operabilityproblems in an industrial unit. In the oil and gas industry, risk assessment iscarried out in conceptual stage until the end of plant life cycle. In thismethod, all possible deviations and equipment design are determined, andafter specifying the consequences of these deviations, the safetyweaknesses of process are identified which lead to making suggestions toreduce their degree of risk.In this paper, by using the PHA-PRO-6 software, the sour gas sweeteningunit and the amine regeneration cycle of Fajr Jam gas refinery areassessed. By defining 9 sensitive nodes, 41 significant deviations weredetermined, and a total of 117 causes of deviations were elucidated. In the following section, the existing safeguards were reviewed for 289recorded consequences, and the quality risk analysis of the unit was fulfilledto obtain the likelihood and the severity of each deviation consequences. The results reveal that, a total of 42 recommendations were presented inorder to minimize the unit risk and the probability of occurrence of deviationsor consequences. Based on the results, corrosion prevention has thegreatest impact on reducing the probability of deviations and reducing unitrisk. It can increase safety, reduce unit shutdown, increase production andlead to sustainable production.
