چکیده مقاله:

After World War II, economic growth, population growth, rapid suburbanization, and the closing of some public transit systems led to more reliance on personal vehicles for transportation. One result of the rapid increase of motor vehicles was air pollution, especially in cities, that had serious impacts on public health and the environment. Government policy since the late 1990s has focused on fuel efficiency, as part of an effort to meet climate change targets. Using less fuel means lower carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This led to an increased number of diesel cars on the roads. Although diesel cars are more fuel efficient than petrol ones, their exhausts produce more harmful pollution. In recent years, various strategies have been adopted to reduce hydrocarbons, sulfur dioxide, Nox and total suspended particles (TSP) emitted from cars. Researchers have been trying hard to switch fossil fuel to alternative fuels and attempting to various driving strategies to make traffic flow smooth and to reduce traffic congestion and emission of greenhouse gas. All vehicles produce substantial life cycle emissions. However, EVs typically produce fewer life cycle emissions than conventional vehicles because most emissions are lower for electricity generation than burning gasoline or diesel. The exact amount of these emissions depends on your electricity mix, which varies by geographic location. However, one of the strategies is to reduce the weight of the car, which has the advantage of reducing fuel consumption and reducing raw materials. This article discusses the use of lightweight materials for light vehicles.
