There is a mutually relationship between health and peace; in one hand, inefficiency in the health sector will have negative effects on peace, and on the other hand, the absence of peace or damage to it, is dangerous to public health. Health can play an important role in building lasting peace as an important component. While recognizing the importance of lasting peace, the World Health Organization emphasizes the special role of physicians and other health workers in the building, preservation and promotion of peace is the most significant factor for the attainment of health for all, and is implementing broad plans in this area especially in states such as Libya, Nigeria, South Sudan and Syria. This paper based on a descriptive-analytical approach, answers the question of how the role of the WHO in achieving lasting peace is assessed through the implementation of health plans This paper with a brief overview of the Health as a Bridge for Peace plan (1998) and the Humanitarian Response Plans (2018) of WHO, concludes that considering the differing situations of the states involved in conflict in terms of the timing of the conflict and the health, educational and financial capacities and facilities, the effectiveness and success of an organization s health plans for building and sustaining peace will be different.
