چکیده مقاله:
In this paper, the effects of some key characters of zeolite catalysts such as pore size, acidity or Si/Al ratio, cation form, shape selectivity and channel structure on the composition of hydrocarbon fuels were sought. To this purpose, the conversion of four main components of fuels including normal paraffins, isoparaffins, cycloparaffins and aromatics were considered over zeolites. According to the results, higher acidic zeolites catalysts had the potential to produce high-aromatic compounds in the hydrocarbon fuels. These catalysts have the capability to be applied in aromatization units to produce gasoline with high octane number. Some mesopore zeolites could produce fuels with higher cycloparaffin contents which indicated it would be suggested to produce some kind of jet fuels. On the other hand, some zeolites had the potential to increase isoparaffins of fuel. These results lead us to conclude that each zeolite shows individual behaviors in the catalytic process of hydrocarbon fuels. In other words, an optimization between various zeolite properties is required to suggest a zeolite with high confidence to produce a special fuel.
