چکیده
Pesticides are widely used in the agriculture and household in many countries to control and reduce pest populations.Unfortunately published reports represent due to improper use of pesticides by farmers that cause the total amount of pesticidesused in agriculture is increasing. As a result of the large quantities and inappropriate use of the pesticides, they are present in allareas of the natural environment. Organophosphorous pesticides (OPPs) are one class of pesticides, which are extensively used asinsecticides to increase the agricultural production [1]. Therefore, to ensure that environmental water is safe for consumer’s healthor any current use, the maximum residue limit (MRL) should be controlled. It has become a global necessity to efficientlydecontaminate OPPs with minimal environmental impact. Over the past decade, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have beendeveloped as a new class of solid adsorbents of eco-friendly [2]. In contrast to classical solid adsorbents such as zeolites, activatedcarbon and silica Materials, MOFs by versatile framework compositions, tunable pore sizes, exposed active sites, thermal andchemical stability [3-4] as an appropriate candidate is for removal of toxic hazardous substances such as fenitrothion. But thepowdery form, too soft, sticky and not maintaining the structure of most of the MOFs when removing guest molecules from theframework, causes problems were in adsorbent transfer and adsorbent adsorption and retrieval methods. Shaping the adsorbent withthe appropriate particle size and density is a practical prerequisite. Also a key aspect to the realization of high porosity is theremoval of guest molecules from the framework while still maintaining its structural integrity (i.e., activation ). This contributionhighlights the strategies utilized to date for activating MOFs. The synthesis was performed using terephthalic acid and ZrCl4 weredissolved in DMF in 120 ◦C for 24 h and it was activated using cyclohexane. Then The amount from powderactivation of MOFUio-66 with binder was mixed and extrusion was performed using laboratory syringe equipment with a nozzle diameter of 0.1 mm.Adsorption of fenitrothion as one common pesticide on AE-MOF UiO-66 was investigated. The molecular structure of pesticide isshown in Figure. In this research, for the first time AE-MOF UiO-66 was used as absorbent at adsorption process of fenitrothion.Various factors affecting the developed adsorption procedure such as sample pH, amount of adsorbent, contact time and sampleconcentration were studied. All optimization steps were done at 10-4 mol L˗1 concentration level of fenitrothion. These resultsindicate that AE MOF UiO-66 is effective adsorbents for use in absorption and removal of fenitrothion. In addition, it can bereferred to as a green chemistry process to be used in the pesticide removal industry with added value related to environmentalissues.کلیدواژه ها
