چکیده مقاله:

Microalgae use has attracted considerable interest due to their extensive application on the production of biologically active drugs. Light is one of the most important factors to carry out the photosynthesis process during Spirulina Maxima cultivation. Meanwhile, the effect of three different LEDs color (white, green and red) with various light intensities (5000, 4200 and 3200 lux) was applied to study the growth kinetics. Logistic equations are used to calculate specific growth rate, doubling time and productivity. According to the regression results, green LED is the best. On the other hand, highest and lowest light intensity caused stress condition for growing in filamentous shape, although artificial light is essential for production of high added value biomass.
