چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Introduction: Burn injuries affect nearly one million patient in year. Burn injuries are one of the top 10 causes of unintentional in childeren younger than 14 years old with 3892 death of childeren younger than 14 years old reported from 2004 to 2014. Must pediatrics burns are minor but childeren with severe burns have higher mortality than nonelderly adult whth similar burns. The standard therapy for high-grade burns includes immediate debridement and coverage with suitable dressings. The task of wound dressings is to prevent transdermal fluid loss and infections and to enable re-epithelialization as well as pain-free dressingchanges, simple application and cost- effectiveness. We report a case of a chid with third degree contact burn That the wound treated with modern dressing improved. Methods : A 9 year-old child has grade three contact burns. The burns covered an estimated 1% of the total body surface area . The patient was a candidate for debridement and skin graft in the hospital. Obtained consent from the patient and parents over a period of 45 days and 10 sessions of debridement gel ,honey ointment and Mepilex Ag foam, the wound healed without the need for surgery. Results : Modern wound therapy of burns is carried out according to the principle of less frequent dressing changes. This allows the burn wound to have a better re- epithelialization.Dressings that are silicone or have silicone interfaces, adhere to normal, intact skin and remain in situ on the surface of a wound but do not adhere to it, maintaining a moist wound environment while providing aless traumatic removal and subsequently less epidermal damage. The use of dressings with silicone interfaces should be strongly considered for use in the pediatric population to reduce pain and wound trauma during dressing changes. Conclusion : :The use of modern dressing in the treatment of ulcers is more cost-effective and safer than surgical products and can be of more interest.
