چکیده

Background and Aim : Burn pain is one of the most severe and persistent types of pain and one of the times when burn patients usually experience the most pain is the time to change dressing. Unless this acute and severe pain is alleviated, it can lead to problems such as depression, discomfort, patient dissatisfaction, delayed wound healing and increased length of hospitalization, and consequently economic problems for the individual and society. Methods : This study was a clinical trial on 64 burn patients admitted to burn ward of Shahid Rajaee hospital in Qazvin in 1396. Samples were selected as available in the first stage and then randomly assigned to intervention and control groups. In the intervention group dressing was changed one day after skin transplantation and in the control group three days after surgery. Data were analyzed by SPSS-24 software using independent t-test, Chi-square and Fisher exact tests. Significance level of all tests was considered 0.05. Results : The mean age of the patients in the intervention and control groups was 36.8 and 40.4 years, respectively. The percentage of burns in intervention group was 12.1% and in control group was 14.5%. Pain was 8.1 4 4 in the experimental group and 9.1 6 6 in the control group, indicating that the pain was moderate and severe in the control group. Conclusion : : Due to the positive effect of early replacement of graft and Denver dressing on pain reduction in burn wounds patients, it is suggested to replace graft and Donor dressing in 24 hours.
