Power Investigation of 4:2 Compressors by Changing Input Switching Activity

Today multipliers play a significant role in different architectures Multipliers are widely used in digital signal processing and the impleentation of encryption algorithms. However,the hardware overhead and consumption power of multipliers are the main challenges. Moreover,the major component of multiplirs are compressors; therefore, importance of compressors in digital circuits is notable. In this paper,the impact f different switching probabilities on power consumption is invesigated and calculated. The switching activities of different nodes for two 4:2 compressor structures have been ananlyzed and finally. suitable structure is presented
