خلاصه مقاله:
This study was an attempt to find out and compare the effects of two types of corrective feedback on improving writing accuracy among Iranian EFL learners. The participants of the study were 80 intermediate female EFL learners within four classes. Firstly, a pretest of writing was administered to them. After that, during 8 sessions of treatment, two groups received explicit corrective feedback for their errors on their papers (direct correction and metalinguistic explanation), while the other two groups received implicit corrective feedback for their errors in their writings (underlining and highlighting). After treatment, a posttest was taken by the participants to examine the effects of these two types treatment. The results revealed that there is no significant difference between the posttest scores of the groups, which received explicit corrective the groups that received implicit feedback in the case of their writing errors
