چکیده مقاله:
Arsenic is a ever-present element in exists naturally in both organic and inorganic forms. The aim of this study is the removal of inorganic arsenic fromaqueous solution using selective (SMNPs) as a sorbent. The synthesis was facilitated by the high degree of iron oxide and silica group. The batchexperiments were performed to investigate. The possibility of arsenic ions removal from aqueous solution using selective (SMNPs) was investigated inthis work. FESEM, XRD, BET, Zeta Potential sizer (ξ) analyses are used to determine the sorbent characterization. The influences of some effectiveparameters on Arsenic ions adsorption process such as initial pH (1-10), initial concentration (0.05-10 mg/L), and the contact time (0-120 min) werestudied. Also, the equilibrium behavior of SMNPs in arsenic ions removal was investigated in the temperature range of (20-40 ºC). The results showedthat the equilibrium data were fitted well with Langmuir than Freundlich isotherm model. The maximum monolayer adsorption capacity estimatedby Langmuir isotherm was obtained from (24.010 mg/g). The required contact time to achieve the equilibrium condition was 120 min. Also, theregression coefficients of the kinetic models and more conformity of the (qexp) to the calculated (qcal) were confirmed that the experimental data follow the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.
