Conservation without conservation How vernacular architecture of Iran can sustain

Safeguarding the vernacular architecture is a challenging issue in developing countries, such as Iran. Here, through a case study, the author explores how non-quantitative, intangible themes and ethics have a role in protecting vernacular buildings in absence of organized and academic techniques, theories and management.
